INTRODUCTION

I am currently studying Peace and Conflict Studies, a field that reflects my strong interest in people, societies, and the circumstances that shape our lives. I also grew up between two very different cultures, which has given me a natural curiosity about different cultures, perspectives, and ways of living. I love learning through travel, conversations, volunteering, and new experiences, and over the past several years, I have worked with children, young people, schools, and communities both in Norway and abroad.

Growing up in Norway, in a country where peace, dialogue, and international cooperation are strongly valued, has also influenced the way I see the world. I have grown up knowing how actively Norway has contributed to peacebuilding and conflict resolution internationally, and in many ways, I hope to carry that same spirit into the work I do myself. My advocacy focuses on children and young people living in difficult circumstances and conflict zones because I believe every child deserves a peaceful and safe childhood. Through Miss Grand International, I hope to use my platform to connect with people, bring attention to meaningful causes and stories, and represent Norway with compassion, curiosity, openness, and purpose.

Stop the War and Violence

The “Stop the War and Violence” campaign is especially meaningful to me because it connects closely with both my studies in Peace and Conflict and my advocacy for children and young people living in difficult situations and conflict zones. War and violence affect entire societies, but children are often the ones who suffer consequences they never chose. They deserve the chance to grow up feeling safe, to go to school, to play, to dream, and simply to be children.

Growing up in Norway, a country with a strong tradition of peacebuilding, dialogue, and international cooperation, has also shaped the way I think about these issues. I know I cannot stop every conflict or help every child, but I believe we all have a responsibility to do what we can with the opportunities and platforms we are given. Through Miss Grand International, I hope to use my voice to bring more attention to the human side of conflict, especially the children and young people whose lives are shaped by it, and to encourage compassion, dialogue, and peace wherever possible.

The 4Bs

I have so many women I look up to, from my amazing and wonderful mother and grandmothers, to Queen Sonja of Norway, to women like Angelina Jolie and our lovely Emma Tiglao! They are all beautiful, strong, and successful in their own ways, but none of them look alike, live the same lives, or have followed the same path. Still, there is something I admire so deeply in all of them, and I can see the 4Bs reflected in each of them in completely different ways.

To me, Body represents strength, discipline, health, and confidence. I enjoy being active, whether through dancing, hiking, skiing, or simply pushing myself to try something unfamiliar. Beauty goes much further than appearance. I think it is found in warmth, kindness, presence, and the energy you bring into a room, and in the way someone makes other people feel. Those are qualities I personally value much more than perfection.

Brain represents a very big part of my personality because I am naturally curious. To me, Brain is curiosity, knowledge, perspective, and the willingness to keep learning, as well as the willingness to keep trying to understand people we may not immediately understand or even agree with. I love learning about people and cultures, hearing different perspectives, and understanding why people see the world the way they do. I do not think intelligence is only about how much you know, but also about being open enough to realize how much more there is to learn. I believe we should never stop learning, especially from one another.

Business, to me, represents more than anything ambition—the ambition to make something in this world. And that includes initiative, independence, creativity, and the courage to turn an idea into something real. I admire women who create their own opportunities, take risks, adapt when things do not go as planned, and build something they genuinely believe in. In the future, I would love to continue growing my own platform and eventually create something where the things I care about, including helping out in conflict zones and helping children where needed, can become a real part of the work I do. To me, business is not only about financial success, but about having the ability and independence to take an idea, believe in it, and turn it into something that can create impact.

But I think I have always subconsciously added one more letter of my own, an H for Heart, or maybe an L for Love (I can’t really decide haha/555). I believe that leading with your heart and doing things with love will never be wrong, and that people can feel the difference. No matter how big or small something is, when you do it genuinely and with love, it becomes more meaningful and respected. Whatever the outcome may be, you can also still be grateful for it because you know you gave something of yourself honestly, with heart and love.

So for me, the 4Bs are not about becoming one particular type of woman or fitting one definite description. They are about developing different sides of yourself—strength, kindness, curiosity, independence, and ambition—while still staying true to who you are and remembering to lead with heart and love.

PASSION TO BEAUTY PAGEANT

My Passion for Beauty Pageants

Beauty pageants have always felt a little magical to me. Like many girls, it was something I dreamed about growing up, but for me, it was also very personal because my mother was a pageant girl herself. Some of my favorite memories are of us watching beauty pageants together, admiring these spectacular women walking so gracefully on stage, speaking with confidence, and using their voices with so much purpose.

As I grew older, I started to see pageantry as more than beauty and glamour. I became drawn to the way it can give women a platform to express themselves, grow in confidence, represent something they believe in, and bring attention to meaningful causes. Being able to now step onto that stage myself feels like a full-circle moment, both for the little girl who loved watching pageants with her mother and for the woman I am becoming today.

SKILLS

One of my strongest skills is communication and connecting with people, especially children and young people. I am also comfortable working across different cultures and adapting the way I communicate depending on the people and environment around me.

Leadership is another skill I have developed through experience. During my time in the Norwegian Armed Forces, I also served as an elected representative for my unit. In that role especially, I led meetings, represented the concerns of others, and brought issues further up in the system when something needed to be addressed. It taught me a lot about responsibility, listening to different perspectives, speaking up when necessary, and representing more than just myself.

I would also say that adaptability and resilience are among my strengths. Military training often placed us in unfamiliar, physically demanding, and time-pressured situations where we had to stay focused, adjust quickly, and keep going even when we were pushed close to our limits. That experience taught me how to remain calm, think practically, and adapt when circumstances change.

I am also not someone who complains simply because something is difficult or hard. If something needs to be done, I will do my best to get through it. At the same time, if I genuinely believe something is unfair or should be addressed, I am not afraid to speak up respectfully and have an open conversation about it.

Other skills I have developed throughout my life and experiences include public speaking, teamwork, organizing activities and events, creative and visual communication, storytelling, and creating engaging content. And, as I said, I am a naturally curious girl, so I enjoy finding ways to make ideas, activities, and conversations interesting and meaningful to different people.

And I am very confident that you can place me in almost any situation, and I will either be okay, or I will find a way to be okay.
