Beau Megan Goos

My name is Beau Megan Goos, I am 22 years old, and I proudly represent the Netherlands as Miss Grand Netherlands 2026.

I grew up with two worlds that shaped who I am today: education and entertainment. I have been competing in pageants since I was six years old, winning several national titles and an international title in India. At the same time, I grew up performing in films, documentaries, and musicals. These experiences shaped me into a confident, disciplined, and resilient woman who feels at home on stage, in front of a camera, and among people from different cultures.

I am someone who thrives in international environments. I connect easily with people from different backgrounds, I am curious about cultures and perspectives, and I approach challenges with confidence and discipline. I am ambitious and goal-oriented, while also believing that strong leadership requires emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to bring people together.

Growing up in a close entrepreneurial family, particularly within real estate, taught me from an early age to recognise opportunities, think independently, and turn ideas into action. It gave me a strong work ethic and a commercial mindset, while also teaching me that long-term success is built through responsibility, consistency, and strong relationships.

But behind the performer and entrepreneur is an educator with a purpose.

I am currently completing my studies to become a history teacher, with the ambition of becoming a historian. At fourteen, I went to Malawi, Africa, with an educational project that changed the way I looked at education and inspired the path that eventually became Skills4Wings, my own platform through which I teach young people essential life skills such as communication, confidence, resilience, and empathy.

For me, these skills reach far beyond the classroom. As a history student and the daughter of a military father who has been deployed nine times, I understand how deeply division and conflict can affect generations and families. This is why I believe that if we want a more peaceful future, we must give young people the tools to communicate, understand different perspectives, and create connection before division has the chance to grow.

My international experiences have strengthened that belief. This year, I studied Mindful Leadership in Thailand, learning about Thai and Buddhist culture and working alongside people from different cultural backgrounds. Having travelled all around the world, including twice to India, where I also won my international pageant title, I have learned to adapt, connect, and perform wherever in the world I find myself.

I see Miss Grand International as more than a crown; I see it as an international stage where purpose, entertainment, and business meet. I want to bring all three. I can educate, communicate, and advocate, but I can also perform, entertain, connect with an audience, and represent a global brand.

My mission did not begin with a crown, and it will not end with one. Through Miss Grand International, I want to expand the work I am already doing and use my voice, experience, and international platform to empower the generation that will shape our future.

I am ready not only to represent the Netherlands, but to work, connect, entertain, and create impact on an international stage.

Stop the War and Violence

“Stop the War and Violence” is deeply personal to me because I did not grow up seeing conflict only through history books or the news; I grew up with its reality entering my own home.

My father serves in the military and has been deployed nine times, including on peacekeeping missions. As his daughter, I know what it feels like when someone you love leaves to serve in places affected by conflict. It taught me that behind every war are not only governments, borders, or statistics, but human beings—soldiers, children, parents, and families waiting for someone to come home.

As a history student and future history teacher, I understand that history shows us how fear, division, intolerance, and the inability to understand another perspective can grow when we fail to learn from the past.

That is why, to me, “Stop the War and Violence” is not only about stopping a war once it has begun. It is about building peace before violence has the opportunity to grow. And that is where education is a big part of my mission.

Through my platform, Skills4Wings, and as a speaker and history teacher, I work with young people on life skills such as communication, empathy, confidence, and resilience. I believe that when we teach children how to express themselves without hurting others, how to listen even when they disagree, and how to understand perspectives beyond their own, we are giving them more than life skills; we are giving them tools for peace.

I know education alone cannot end every war. But I believe it can help shape generations that choose dialogue over aggression, understanding over prejudice, and connection over division.

This is not a campaign I discovered when I became Miss Grand Netherlands. I have been living its values through my family, my education, and my work for years.

The youth we educate today will become the teachers, voters, decision-makers, and leaders of tomorrow. If we want them to create a more peaceful world, we have a responsibility to prepare them for it today.

That is what “Stop the War and Violence” means to me: not only fighting for peace when the world is already divided, but educating a generation that knows how to protect it before it is lost.

The 4Bs

To me, the four Bs are not four separate qualities. Together, they represent the complete modern woman: someone who takes care of herself, commands attention, thinks with purpose, and knows how to turn opportunities into action.

Body represents discipline, health, and performance.

Taking care of my body is not about perfection. It is about strength, consistency, and being ready to perform at my highest level. Whether I am on stage, travelling, teaching, or working, physical discipline gives me the energy, confidence, and presence to show up fully. It represents an important part of my personality: when I commit to something, I work for it. In my future, I want a career that requires energy, performance, and constant movement, so taking care of myself is also part of being ready for every opportunity that comes my way.

Beauty represents presence, authenticity, compassion, and service.

Growing up in pageantry and entertainment taught me the power of presentation. But beauty may capture attention, while character determines whether people remember you. To me, true beauty is not only about feeling beautiful within yourself, but about what you give to others. It represents my belief in being present for people, supporting my community, and using my position to help those who need it.

Whether that means community work, listening to someone who needs to be heard, using my platform to raise awareness, or simply making another person feel seen and valued, that is the kind of beauty I want to represent throughout my life. Beauty is not only what you see when I enter a room; it is what I leave behind when I walk out of it.

Brain represents knowledge, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to make intelligent choices.

For me, being intelligent is not only about what you know. It is about knowing how to use that knowledge. As a teacher, I have learned to analyse situations, understand different perspectives, and learn from the past. Travelling, competing, and studying internationally have taught me another kind of intelligence: how to adapt to different cultures, environments, and people, remain composed in unfamiliar situations, and communicate effectively wherever I am in the world.

Earlier this year, I studied Mindful Leadership in Bangkok, Thailand, where I immersed myself in Thai and Buddhist culture. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from Buddhist monks was simple but powerful: when something is beyond your control, you have to learn to let it go instead of allowing it to control you. Mindful Leadership taught me that true leadership begins with self-awareness, understanding your own emotions, knowing what you can influence, listening before reacting, and adapting your approach to the people and circumstances around you.

That mindset has taught me to remain calm under pressure and lead with both confidence and understanding. Whether I am working as a teacher, historian, presenter, actress, entertainer, or international public figure, I need to understand my audience, read situations, ask the right questions, and communicate with purpose. Brain, to me, means having the curiosity to keep learning, the wisdom to know when to adapt or let go, and the intelligence to turn what you learn into opportunities.

Business represents vision, independence, work ethic, and the ability to execute.

I grew up in an entrepreneurial family, particularly around real estate, so business has always been part of the environment around me. From a young age, I learned to recognise opportunities, think commercially, build strong relationships, and understand that success does not simply happen. You create it through hard work, consistency, and smart decisions.

I have taken that mentality into my own life. Creating Skills4Wings taught me how to take something I believe in and turn it into a real platform. Pageantry and entertainment have also taught me the value of visibility, communication, and personal branding. I believe a modern titleholder should understand that she does not only represent herself. She represents organisations, partners, causes, and brands, and she should know how to create value for all of them.

My future ambition is to build a career where education, history, presenting, acting, entertainment, and entrepreneurship can strengthen each other. I want to work internationally, create my own opportunities, and build projects that are both meaningful and commercially strong. For me, Business means not waiting for someone else to create your future. It means having the courage and intelligence to build it yourself.

And if I may add one more B:

Combine the four Bs and you get another B, Beau.

The discipline of Body, the compassion of Beauty, the adaptability of Brain, and the ambition and readiness of Business, brought together in one woman who is ready to work, perform, connect, and create impact.

For me, it is also about how you carry yourself: with respect, responsibility, professionalism, and character.

The four Bs represent what Miss Grand stands for, and as Beau, I embody them all. I am ready to represent them, elevate them, and prove what they look like on the international stage of MGI.
