Shelly Usman

My name is Shelly Usman. I am a medical aesthetician and an artist; I draw and sculpt for modern homes. I am also a pageant model and now Miss Grand Zimbabwe 2026.

I have two heritages, Zimbabwean and Nigerian. My mother is German, making me German by blood as well. My greatest strength would have to be empowering and uplifting the people around me. This is why my initiative for the competition is to empower women who are dealing with fear and help them regain their confidence.

In the past, I have had to deal with anxiety, which made me lose many opportunities and friendships. I know how sad and difficult that can be. This is why I want to make sure that women do not let fear limit or stunt their growth. Through my initiative, “Embracing the Confidence Within,” I aim to guide women to recognize their strengths and overcome their fears.

Stop the War and Violence

The “Stop the War and Violence” campaign means bringing people together and showing them how to love and how to be united. It means looking beyond people’s flaws and loving them as they are, irrespective of their heritage, religion, or culture.

We are all united, so when we let love lead, we show people how to live in unity, thereby helping to stop the war and violence around us through love and compassion.

The 4Bs

Body, Beauty, Brain, and Business represent a woman who can show love to people not only physically, but also inwardly. True beauty comes from within; it is how we treat people and the kindness that we give to others.

Beauty fades, but what lasts forever is the kindness we show to people. A woman with beauty should also be smart, confident, and intelligent, while being financially stable so that she is able to help others as well.

When we have a business and an income, we are able to support people. A woman with beauty and brains is a woman who can lead and support the people around her, and this is a true queen—a woman with ambition, passion, and pursuit.
