Valeria Amaya

My name is Valeria Amaya, I am 19 years old, and I am a third-year medical student proudly representing El Salvador.

My journey in medicine has taught me that true strength begins with compassion and the willingness to serve others. I am a woman defined by discipline, resilience, perseverance, and a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

Coming from El Salvador, a country rich in culture, warmth, and resilient people, I carry with me the values and dreams of my homeland. Representing my country at Miss Grand International is not only an honor, but also an opportunity to share the beauty and spirit of El Salvador with the world.

I believe that a crown is more than a symbol of beauty; it is a responsibility and an opportunity to inspire, serve, and create meaningful change. My purpose is to empower others, especially young people, to believe in themselves, overcome challenges, and understand that their circumstances do not define their future.

I am Valeria Amaya, a future physician, a proud Salvadoran, and a woman who believes that with purpose, resilience, and compassion, we can turn challenges into opportunities and leave a lasting impact.

Stop the War and Violence

To me, “Stop the War and Violence” means understanding that peace begins with prevention.

As a medical student, I am learning that medicine is not only about treating disease, but also about preventing it before it takes away someone’s health, dreams, or quality of life. I believe peace works the same way.

We should not wait for violence to destroy a life before we decide to act. We can prevent violence by educating, listening, creating opportunities, and teaching empathy and respect—especially to the generations that will shape our future.

For me, prevention is not only about keeping our bodies healthy. It is also about building communities where education, compassion, and respect are stronger than violence.

As a young woman, a medical student, and a proud representative of El Salvador, I want to use my voice to promote a culture where peace is not simply something we hope for, but something we choose, protect, and practice every day.

Because sometimes, the most powerful way to stop violence is to prevent it before it begins.

The 4Bs: Body, Beauty, Brain & Business

To me, the four Bs represent the different dimensions of the woman I am and the woman I aspire to become.

Body represents discipline and self-care. Taking care of our bodies is not only about appearance, but also about building healthy habits, feeling confident, and having the energy to pursue our goals.

Beauty represents confidence, authenticity, and the ability to inspire others. I believe true beauty goes beyond what we see; it is reflected in how we treat people, how we carry ourselves, and how we use our presence to make a difference.

Brain represents my passion for education, creativity, and continuous learning. I believe knowledge is a powerful tool that allows us to grow, make informed decisions, understand the world around us, and contribute positively to our communities.

And Business represents leadership, ambition, teamwork, and the ability to turn ideas into action. I am willing and committed to working alongside the organization, supporting its initiatives, learning from its experience, and contributing my time, skills, and dedication to projects that create a positive impact on society. I believe that meaningful change is achieved through collaboration, responsibility, and the determination to transform ideas into opportunities.

Together, the four Bs remind me that a woman can be strong in her body, confident in her beauty, powerful through her mind, and impactful through her vision.

For me, the ultimate goal is not simply to become successful, but to use every part of who I am to serve, inspire, collaborate, and create meaningful change.
